WHO WE ARE
Forseasons Sales was founded in New Jersey in 1947 calling on the large variety store chains based in New York City such as F.W.Woolworth, W.T. Grant, J.C Penny to name a few. The Company expanded in the 60’s and 70’s to call on the new trend in retail, the Mass Merchandisers such as, Jamesway, Caldor’s, Bradlee’s, Ames, Zayre and Hills Dept. Stores.
In the early 80’s, we opened our New England division to better serve the many Mass Merchandise retailers based in that geographic area, plus the emerging Wholesale Club business at BJ’s and Costco. This office also covered the Drug Store trade including CVS, Adam’s Drug and Brooks while providing a presence at Minor Mass accounts such as Ocean State Jobbers and Christmas Tree Shops.
In the 90’s, Forseasons expanded our territory by reaching outside of New England to better cover the Club venue to include Sam’s, and explore another emerging class of trade, the Dollar Stores. As a result of this expansion, we commenced selling Family Dollar, Dollar General, Dollar Tree and Variety Wholesalers on a regular basis in 1998.
As we entered the new century, we moved our principal office from New Jersey to New England and added an office in the Midwest to service that region’s numerous Drug and Mass Merchandise accounts such as Walgreen’s, Target, Kmart, Shopko, Meijer, and Menards. From this office, we also service a number of West Coast accounts such as Costco, Petsmart, Petco, and 99¢ Only Stores.
Over the years, our strategy has been to maximize opportunities for our principals by structuring our business to accommodate new emerging classes of trade.
